Philly Counts is partnering with Penn Medicine, Philly CEAL, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Go Vax to help increase child vaccination rates. The Vax Up Philly Families initiative is looking for parents, or primary caregivers, who have gotten their children vaccinated and are willing to talk to other parents about vaccination. For participating in this program, there is a stipend of $50 a week for 10 weeks. The expectations are that you can engage with the program 2-3 hours per week, either in virtual large group conversations or interactions on social media and one-on-one in your community. Deadline to apply is 3/11, and we will be notifying everyone by March 18th if they were selected to participate. You can contact gabriela.raczka@phila.gov if you have questions or concerns about the program. In this program, we will learn together about facts and stats of why vaccines are so important. The group will address and discuss the myths and misinformation that has been widely circulating and has caused many parents to be concerned about getting their children vaccinated. |
